    Atlas Copco Screw Blower Helps Tianjin Sinopec Achieve Clean and Low Carbon Development

    Sinopec Tianjin Branch (hereinafter referred to as Tianjin Sinopec) was established on December 28, 1983, located in the Binhai New Area of Tianjin, covering an area of 14 square kilometers. The annual processing capacity is 12.5 million tons/year, and the ethylene production capacity is 1.2 million tons/year. It is under the jurisdiction of a thermal power plant, and the third phase includes 220 tons/hour, 410 tons/hour, and 465 tons/hour steam boilers. Adopting the most widely used wet desulfurization technology internationally, limestone is made into lime slurry, which is sprayed and atomized inside the absorption tower to contact the flue gas, thus achieving the purpose of desulfurization. This process requires a blower to transport air to achieve oxidation desulfurization reaction.

    Desulfurization engineering is currently the environmental protection project with the highest one-time investment and continuous operation investment in the construction of thermal power plants. The selection of equipment will directly affect the economic and technical aspects of the entire project investment. As a crucial large-scale equipment in the entire desulfurization operation, the selection of oxidation fans is directly related to the investment and operational effectiveness of the entire project.     The Tianjin Sinopec Phase III project, consisting of Phase I 2x ZS132CW-J-132kW, Phase II 5x ZS132CW-132kW, and Phase III 5x ZS110CW-110kW, will have a total of 12 ZS series screw blowers in service for desulfurization flue gas transportation.
